Mk IV Golf Clutch and Flywheel
Discussion
pretty sure sachs do one, also try uk-mkivs.net for advice as you might be able to save some money converting to a single mass flywheel using one from a vr6 (assuming tdi is 5 speed)
try specialists lig AMD Technik or for parts GSF Carparts or Eurocarparts

That's a very high quote - around what I was quoted by a dealer when my MK4 R32 needed a new clutch and flywheel back in 2006.
If it was me (and assuming it's just a 'normal' TDi), I would source the parts from GSF or Eurocarparts and then find a decent back street mechanic.
Alternatively, it might be worth a call to STAR Performance or Bedrock VWs to get a quote from them.
