1997 Golf Cab....any good?

I'm thinking of buying one of these purely because I've seen one with 53,500 miles in quite good condition. I just don't know if they are any good though.

Please let me know. I don't wanna be in the garage on sunny days.

What engine, if the 1781cc then it will go on forever, with only a risk of head gasket at 150k miles.

Gearbox can whine a bit, and shocks and bushes will go in next year no doubt.

It is the 1984cc. I have bought a different one. It needs new discs and pads and has an odd noise at low revs in second which I need to sort out. I heard bushes were a problem but I think GSF do them cheap.
