audi a4 help

hi guys needs some help, my mate has audi a4 54 plate 1.9tdi 130bhp and time to time when his driving the car it takes around 5 seconds to respond for example if he puts it in 2nd gear and puts his foot right down on the accelerator it takes around 5 secs before the car does anything.

any idea as to what the problem can be? thanx in advance.

Get it VAGCOM'd

Sounds like a software glitch on the fly-by-wire accelerator thingmibob, my B5 A4 had the same system.

i have had a the car checked on the vagcom but it shows nothing, could it be temp sensor by any chance?
