Audi A4 Multitronic Oil Change

I would really appreciate help to make a decision about work on my car.I have a 53 plate Audi A4 automatic petrol engine and urgently require a cam belt change ,service and multitronic oil change.Unfortunately I was misinformed about the oil change which is well over due (currently 56 000 miles).Audi have said my gear box may already be damaged.I have located a specialist automatic gear box garage that could undertake the oil change (cheaper than Audi) but not sure if this is best option.I would welcome any advice and need to be mindful of overall costs.
The car runs smoothly and I have never had any major problems.
I am having full service at local garage apart from having coolant replaced when cam belt done next month.

Sounds like you've done the best thing already - provided it creeps, shifts and pulls away as normal I wouldn't worry about it.
