Mk3 golf ecu location

Need to remove the ecu from my 16v is it similar to mk4's under the scuttle panel where the wipers mount or somewhere else ?

Yes it's underneath the wipers, you have to take a few bits of trim first which is quite fiddly before you can get to it. I watched the RAC guy do it when my mk3 wouldn't start.
