Picked up my R8 - I'm in love!

I picked up my R8 from Audi Warrington yesterday and had the pleasure of a 250 mile drive back home. All I can say is WHAT A CAR!!!!

Performance, looks and handling are just superb. Will post some proper pics when I stop grinning and stop driving long enough to point the camera at it.

Looks like you were powersliding onto your drive.

Needs someone to photoshop the skid marks in now. On the road I mean, before some mucky person says otherwise!

Just behind the lower edge of the front there is a rubber strip that scrapes - need to explore more what it is!!. The lip itself is OK. I found that out without thinking yesterday

DO keep an eye on your oil level, 1 litre in 1,000 miles is typical - particularly if you're still in the 'new car' playtime phase

The car is a 10K mile used one so the oil should not be too bad. However the dealer did say keep eye anyway and gave me a bottle of oil for top ups

I was VERY happy to get it at the price I did. Dealer cocked up on original invoice price - but still honoured the deal we struck once they realised. Top marks go to them for that!

I think photos don't really do them justice- I saw one in the flesh the other day and it was immense- Really, really lovely bit of kit and looks huge on the road too. What size tyres are they?

Front 235/30 R19, Rear 295/30 R19 MASSIVE!!!!! Not looking forward to replacing them . Luckily brand new at the moment!!
