golf mk4 1.8T (AUM) power up any tips???

im in southampton,but would like to here thoughts on the result of the re map that they say gives 200 ish bhp.any good or waste of time??

hi mate i have a mk4 golf gti aum 150bhp had it remapped by a company called r tec power now runs approx 210bhp only other mods are pipercross panel filter and alloy recirc valve the remap has totally transformed the car real hoot to drive now i would have no hesitations reccomending you get it done as soon as possible ,a friend of mine has also just bought a golf and had it mapped on the strength of driving mine have a look over on www.golfgtiforum.co.uk plenty of info over there regarding remaps and mk4's hope this helps you make your mind up atb andy

The AUM engine uses a KO3S turbo which is found on the 180bhp engines. After remapping an AUM it'll give you the same power as a mapped 180bhp engine. It should bring power up to about 210ish with a remap alone.
