Right, i get asked this a fair bit as some people dont like the DRL found on scirocco/new golf etc

Must state this only works for VW and i have not tried it on AUDI or any other VAG car. Also as the cars were type approved and homologated with the DRL feature, it is recommended you leave them on.

IF you insist however,

OFF:
with ignition off, indicate stalk DOWN (left) and pull toward you (flash) and hold, turn ignition on for 3 seconds and you should hear a beep, ignition off and on, and they should now be off

ON:
Repeat above, but indicator stalk UP(right) instead

Audis to date have either had a switch by the headlamp dial or an option in the MMI to turn them off.

Yes, I currently have a A4 S Line and it's defaulted to on but there's an option to switch them off

I have a Golf mk6 that does it.

What does it being type approved have to do with it? (Honest question, I'm not sure what that means to anything)

Would have thought something to do with safety?

How did we ever manage before without them?

Who are these for anyway, who needs cars lit up like christmas trees during the day??
