Mk1 TT - reliability/running costs, other buyer info?

Hi all,

my other half is considering a mk1 TT as her next car, so I thought I'd enquire about them a bit on here...

so, are they generally reliable (I'm presuming so, being an Audi!?)
what are general running costs like? are the stealers any better/worse than others?
are there any particular weak-points we should look for when looking at particular cars?

she'd be looking at a reasonably high-mileage car (maybe 60k+), so are there problems associated with that, or are they good for starship mileages?

Any related info would be greatly appreciated...
