Whats the best Induction Kit for an Audi S3?
Discussion
Save yoru money boss and just get a green cotton panel filter.
If you must have the noise though you need a sealed one such as a CDA etc that will draw cold air in from outside the engine bay.......all a cone filter does is suck up hot air from the engine bay (not good, turbos need cool air).
Lots and lots of big power S3's running the standard box with a panel filter in there, green cotton ones seem to be the most popular...plus you can just wash them come service time

Loads of options for remapping and many will come to you.
As for induction kit, unless you want the noise then a panel filter will be more than adequate. Tried loads of different things on my Golf, now run the standard airbox and paper filter. Don't notice a difference other than the car drives smoother in standard guise

A dcecent panel filter is your best bet, but if you must: Try a pipercross Viper with the cold air feed attatchment. You can have it built into the bumper for that 'race car - ish' look. Make sure you dont have the feed too high up though as you will get rain running down into your filter and then rain in your engine. Too low and you will get puddles and floods in there. Best place to have it is down near a fog light or in the bumper on the same level as the number plate.
As for mapping. Where in the southwest are you? Have you phoned Kartehnic in Poole? They have maps to suit all requirements.

I have a BMC Carbon Dynamic Airbox in mine. Expensive for what they are, but great sound and a little bit more performance. One thing to make sure you do is to replace the standard indication hose (and the intercooler hoses if you want) with upgraded silicon items. Made a big difference to mine, and I haven’t remapped it yet. I used Forge, but Samco and APR also do them. Stops the hose collapsing in on itself at around 4,500rpm and giving you a massive loss in acceleration.
