hiya all,
the keyless entry system does not seem to work,
i have followed the book to the letter but it wont function,
do i have to use the mmi to activate it,
the start and stop function inside the car is fine [keyless]
i,ve tried to open every door but no luck,
when you lift each handle slowly, nothing,
apart from the rear drivers side door which has a click
half way up,
any thoughts,,

You don't say which model year you have but there is a setting in the MMI 'setup' that deals with door opening and which can open when. Suggest a play with that.

nothing in the mmi should affect the advanced key. It's used to set which doors open or remain locked, and whether the key triggers the seat, steering wheel and mirrors.

The book says that you should have the key on your person, and when you're within 1.5mtrs the proximity sensor should pick you up and unlock the door.

It's reading the key inside the car though?

What happens if you leave it running and get out, does it come up in the DIS that the key is not found?

If the battery is low in the key this happens, new battery and reprogrammed by dealer is usually the answer. My spare key does the same.

hiya all,
its a 53 reg,
ive checked it out and its got nowt to do with the mmi,
when i start it with the key on me i can get out and move
away and it will not stop.
i,ll get the batt changed in remote fob at audi
and see what happens,

Take it to an Audi dealer could easily be an ECU (they gave trouble on the early cars)
To stop the car you have to push the stop button (all the key will do si give you authorisation to start)
