Typical...........

Car going next week and today whilst braking just as I come to a standstill there is a grinding sound from the front.

The outside pad is showing about 3-4mm worth of meat on it still and no warning light.

Any Ideas chaps.......

Could it be anything else than pads?
Anyone had inside pad wear faster than outsidee?
Is there pad wear sensors on the front?

ta in advance

Sensor is in outside pad so it could be the inner pad

No there not, the sensors are on the inside pads that you cant see without a mirror or taking the wheel off. Could possibly be a stone or the outer pad is actually worn out and your looking at it wrongly perhaps.

Cheers chaps.
Popped it into dealers yesterday and master tech took it out.

seems it was a bit of the sub frame that protects one of the bushes at the bottom of the suspension.

It had become bent through being used as a jacking point and the noise was the joint retating against it.

all sorted now.
