Quick one

Cut a long story short I have an A5 Quattro and am on my third set of Tyres, i habve ahd the car in several times about steering wheel juddering over 60mph, each time they (Kwick fit) 2 diff branches, have said they have remedied the problem. I have had my tracking done by an independant and that is ok . Is there a problem with A5? .I have heard issues around Q7s and the quattro system (uneven tyre ware).

Any A5 ownewrs out there with the same issues or is the local kwick fit not fit for purpose? !!

pay peanuts, get monkeys

kwik fit are a joke, not a qualification between them, you'd be better getting your wheels balanced at a mcdonalds drive through.

get a garage to do it properly, before kwik fit causes a wheel bearing to go!

Have you thought that it might not be the wheel thats causing the problem? Theyre balancing the wheel and its showing ok, you may have suspension problems, wishbones rubbers shot, or any number of other problems causing the steering to wobble. Look elsewhere.....

If you have a quattro then, personally i would get a 4 wheel track done with Audi, or someone who knows exactly what theyre doing with the quattro alignment. I know Audi are not cheap but they have the correct equipment, i used to own a quattro turbo and would get it aligned once every 2 years and the difference it made was amazing, it was costing me 140gbp at time to have done but thats all part of owning a quattro.

Surely the car is still under warranty (unless it was one of the first ones) I would go to Audi. Doesn't sound right to me, sounds like suspension wear, failed bushes etc. Kwik Fit eek

Did my first set of front tyres at 22,000 miles. No issues with mine, when I had it..

This is a well known issue with A5/S5's, its not the balancing or tracking - check out the A5/S5 owners club website for loads more details on it. Search for vibration and control arm and that should give you the info you need.
