Do it,you wont be disappointed...had mine a year..what age/year or budget do you have.
engines bullet proof, just check history and cam belt renewal dates..get leather seats if you can the light coloured upholstery is a pain to keep clean.
Easy to get a few extra BHP,with remaps..just ask if you need to know anything .

I've had 3 vRS Fabias and they are brilliant cars.
Like all the VAG cars with this engine, the DMF knocking is a common fault.
Leaky rear door seals, engine 'stutter' on late 05 cars onwards, although Skoda had a fix for this so most cars should have been back to get sorted. Washer jet hoses popping of at the bulk head (easy fix)
As been said before, decent BHP figures are easily gained witha remap but watch the torque figure as anything near or above 290lb torque will eat the standard DMF and clutch if driving quickly!!
Like every other car ever made, they do have there niggles but they are mostly very minor.
Buy it, you wont regret it!! However, dont waste your money on the LE model!! Apart from the Blue paint and a number on the seats, you could get a 'standard' vRS with ALOT more spec for ALOT less money.

Just got one of these, loving it so far. I think the cambelt is to be done at 60k.
What is the DMF? I have noticed sometimes that when I change gear, especially from 1st, there is a knocking or scraping sound.

If its on its way out, you can hear/feel it knocking at idle and it usually goes away when the clutch is pressed.
Yip, cambelt is every 60k or 4yrs, whatevers first. You'd be aswell changing the water pump at the same time.
Great little cars, I am on my second (an LE) as a daily driver, both have been faultless putting 60K on each.
They punch well above their weight (especially when remapped).
I won't be having another though, firstly because they don't make them any more, secondly because I really don't like the new Fabia (it's crap!), and thirdly because I want a change, six years with the one marque is enough, no matter how satisfied.
Mito 1.4TB Veloce next, or a GTA.

Had one getting on for 3 years now. The only real problem I've had is the leaking through the rear doors which is an extremely common fault that Skoda seem to have problems fixing (three failed attempts under warranty for me). I have now taken things into my own hands and fixed it myself with a generous helping of silicone sealant around the door carrier behind the door card, and it seems to be working so far! Couple of other very minor niggles like the filler cap not closing and a trim clip falling off inside the boot lid and rattling around, but simple fixes and that’s is about it. No engine problems at all. Cambelt was a bit pricey at four years though! The light grey cloth trim gets very easily stained – the Blue ltd editions have leather as standard and a fair few have had after market leather fitted – worth trying to find in my opinion.
I like the power delivery – good fun. The handling is a let down though because it feels quite nose heavy and rolls a fair bit. It grips well but doesn’t inspire confidence! I daresay it can be sorted, but I personally haven’t modified the car at all.
Prices seem to be all over the place though. I noticed some higher mileage ones are down to £4,000 while dealers might sell the same car for at least a couple of grand more. The blue LE cars go for not much less than they cost new nearly 3 years ago!
