S3 Voice Control
Discussion
Last month I collected my new S3 which I specd out with the following options
Privacy glass
Light and Rain Sensor Pack
Cruise Control
DVD Satnav
AMI
Having seen the video clip on the Audi web site where James Callis is driving round London I was disapointed that he could use voice comand in that car and I have a redundant button on my steering wheel. Anyone in the Bristol area know of a reputable installer who can retrofit voice commands in my car? I did come across some info on the web that says I dont need to have the bluetooth phone prep, is this correct? and does anyone know if the voice control can be used to program the sat nav or am I stuck with the anoying interface?

My Dad has an S3 with some voice control. He has the DVD 'nav and a multi function steering wheel.
As far as I could tell, the voice control was only for the telephone - for dialing a number/ending call etc. There is no control over the 'nav or stereo.
I think if you have the DVD 'nav system, that has bluetooth already (do a device search on your phone) so you shouldn't have to get anything else fitted.

I had the SDS hack (voice control) done makes the sat nav much more user friendly
