Thought mine sounded good enough with just the flaps disabled, but the miltek is the best product sound wise.

I've been keeping a keen eye on this topic, as it's a mod I'm keen to do soon!

On a little side to this topic, can anyone tell me what the difference is between Resonated and Non Resonated for the Milltek system? I've seen both these advertised and I'm not too sure what the difference is, beyond one of them being alot louder.

Also, what exhaust manufacturer would be good for daily use? I'm not too keen on getting a splitting headache everytime I drive the car!

Many thanks, and sorry for the slight O/T tangent!

Hi Darren

I think that is the only difference, a resonated exhaust system will give you a little extra power without increasing the exhaust noise much whereas a non-resonated will give you extra power and a louder exhaust note but please be aware that I'm no expert! silly

It has been proven that without a remap, power will be reduced. The car is very sensitive to the exhaust.

Miltek have a number of options depending on what you required.

Be WARNED, if you go for a NON valved system, make sure you block off the vacuum pipes, otherwise you will be driving a 300bhp car ...

Most details on the pros and cons of each system can be found on RS246.

If you have deep pockets have a look at ..

A resonated Milltek system would be your best option with Exhaust Valves. Still get a nice tone from it without the headaches. Resonated runs a smaller mid box in the system just to cut the noise slightly.

At just over £2K for this system (Cat Back) and as suggested in another post it may well be worth spending the extra on downpipes with high flow cats and a Remap to gain the full benefit of fitting this system.

I have a Milltek non-valve/non-res fitted and it's just fantastic to hear. Even people who don't really get off on cars go all gooey when they hear it.

It's not overly noisy on a cruise either, although i've come from TVR's so no surprise there smile

Last rolling road session showed no power loss either, 380-ish Bhp, which is OK for an otherwise standard car.
