Live in Kent so wondered if anyone has had one fitted either at a garage or by a mobile fitter, any recommendations?
Been quoted £378 plus another £188 for the dedictaed wiring loom. Going to be using it to tow a sailing dinghy and a cycle carrier. Seems pricy to me but I havent had one fitted before

I can reccomend the towbar man south (mobile) on 01252 543 999 I think.

Sitting on my dentist's waiting room so do double check that number!

Thanks Dr G - dont think they cover my area, but i have emailed the enquiry form.
Just spoke to Audi and wait for it, they want £1185 inc vat fitted with single point electrics! Apparently its a 5 hour job and at £115 + vat per hour that makes near £700 to fit....good grief I'm clearly in the wrong job

!Be carfull.!

B8 A4 and new A5 are mentally difficult to code the control modules, to tell the car the towbar is on. We have had 1 or 2 come in where towbar has been fitted out of the dealer and spent a day manually programing control modules etc, at the cost of the auto electrician who couldnt fit the towbar he said he could.

Trident Trailers are your best bet, my folks have had a few done there and my best mate has all his work vans done there. There is also a place in Eastbourne I used to use for customers cars when I worked there.

Thanks TT, I have to be honest I am also a little worried about my warranty as Audi said there is a good chance it would may invalid if I fitted a non standard Audi part. Do you still get the same issue with the electrics if you use the Audi dedicated wiring loom?
Thank you
James

When I tried to get one fitted to mine the local company recommended by the Audi dealer ran a mile. He said Audi had had over heating problems and the alternator needed upgrading.
I was quoted £1500. But got Audi UK to pay half in the end.
Still alot of money but peace of mind.

Well they fitted it today and I am very pleased. I had the detachable one fitted and all you can see is the electrical socket. Great service. Great recommendation!
