Anyone know where I might purchase a car cover for the Corrado? He's not getting much use so would like to give him a good wax and polish and cover him up.

Google was a great help...lol

For example

It might not matter because they are of a similar size but make sure it fits your Carrado. Classic or new.

There's an ad in the back of Evo magazine for car covers - everything in the photo is an Audi or VW; might be a lead?

Will dig one out for you if you haven't got a copy handy.

Cheers for that! I have a boot load of old Evos that I'm going to be giving away so will take a look at the ad.

I'll check out Argos. I looked into car covers a few years ago and remember them being very expensive. Don't want to spend too much. Thanks!

Yeah, they're fine, I think I paid £25 for the heavy duty one they do, my house has a huge oak tree next to it so get a biblical amount of crap on the car if I go on hols.

No question;

www.classicadditions.co.uk

I've bought 3 covers from them now, great company, top product, and I recommend them everytime someone even remotely mentions the word "car cover" smile

Do question if you need one though Em - it will need to be clean EVERYTIME you put it on!

Oh I did not realise that was so Tony. I'll never be without a mop and bucket in my hand in that case.

Yep - if you imagine putting a cover over a dirty car, you'll be moving grit/dirt over the surface (so scratching) and also getting the inside of the cover dirty.

So, when I've had covers for my cars in the past it has only ever gone on if it's been perfectly 100% clean (literally washed on drive and then put in garage. If it wasn't clean, I'd just not put the cover on and then only do so once I'd had chance to wash!

Now that I get more days off I will have to devote one half day a fortnight to washing and give the old boy a coat of wax.
