A6 - m/tronic or tiptronic ? Which auto box ? Help please...

Im on the hunt for an A6 2.7 or 3.0 TDi - dont want manual so need your help and opinion on which auto 'box to go for - multitronic or tiptronic ? Is one a ' CVT ' type box ? ( constantly variable transmission ) Is one better than the other , As ever I really appreciate your feedback - Thanks Barry

Front wheel drive cars are "multi-Tronic" yes its a CVT and its !rubish! IMHO.

4WD's are "tip-tronic", is a typical modern smooth, traditional torque converter automatic, made by ZF so same as many other premium brand cars. BMW Jaguar etc.
