What power steering fluid old golf

I have an 98 vintage golf Tdi which has puked its power steering fluid all over the floor due to a dead pump.

I have a new pump to fit but i have no idea what fluid i should be using. I don't think its is ATF as that is normally pink but the stuff that leaked out was goldly yellow

So save me from a walk in the cold to the garage to find the idiot guide
