New Beetle advice
Discussion
Chaps,
On the hunt again for a Beetle Cab for the Mrs.. I know not the best time of year, however from a purchase perspective, should get a good deal... so I thought.. Today seen a nice 1.8T with lots of spec at a dealer in Surrey. They need to do some cosmetic work on the car, to get it to a decent standard, like some wheels need a refurb and a couple of scrathes..
I did notice however the discs had a big lip on them, which would suggest they are on the way out.. The dealership refused to change these out as part of deal, suggesting the 102 point used car check, did not warrant them to be changed. How can I trust their service dept are not telling me porkies..? Any idea on how much it would cost to change out all of the discs and pads on a Beetle? They did not have the used car service sheet to hand, suprise suprise...
I was also suprised how they were not willing to do a deal, or break a deal for discs and pads. They did reduce the price by £500, however only interested in doing cosmetic, rather than mechanical work for sale.
Anyone got any ideas on how I tackle this...Don't want to be changing discs and pads after 3 months!!
