Identifying genuine RS6 wheels?
Discussion
should they be marked with an audi stamp and part number on the inside? Can anyone tell if these are genuinne or will you not tell without looking on the inside for a stamp/part number? does anyone have a pic of said id if there is any?? thanks in advance!

I tried fitting the wheels on my RS6 to an A3 a while back and the result was not good. They have the correct fitment, but they stick out too far from the arch. So as an answer, they may fit, but they might not be legal if they stick out past the arches. You will need a wide arch model i think if you are gonna fit them.
The ones in the advert look ok although they have tyres to suit an A6 but they only way to be sure is to ask to see the stamp on the inside of the rim. It will have an audi badge and a part no which you can google to check if it matches the genuine number. Also the wheel width is 9" and they didnt make replicas that wide. So thats another way you can check. It should be 9J wide x 19" round, PCD 112, ET35.
I have a genuine set for sale (minus tyres) if you are interested.

Not RS6 tyres - get the seller to confirm part numbers for you.
standard Rs6's are 255 wide but you can go 20mm either side, the same as any other wheel (to avoid snagging the suspension on a different model). Im assuming that the owner went narrower to avoid this issue So long as they are 235/35/19 to 255/35/19 then they are fine. You can also have 275/30/19 (Vredestein) if you want.Edited by ecain63 on Saturday 21st November 09:51

The usual giveaway on replicas is the centre cap, they have cheap printed Audi badges whereas the genuine caps have raised chrome rings.

Next question then is if they are genuine with the 9" width and et35 offest, will they fit under the B6 S4's arches withough rubbing?
I dont think its an issue with rubbing. The car will probably be ok if you have 35 or 30mm profiles on (also if you get the RS6 specific tyres fom Pirreli then the corners of the tyre are more rounded to avoid snagging the suspension). Its the issue with them sticking out from the arches that you have to consider (if they stick out past the arch them its illegal). The genuine RS6 wheels are slightlty concave to get them to fill the fat arches on the RS6. The lower the ET the further out they will sit from thr hub. But because the genuine RS6 rims have a deep dish effect they will sit out quite far, thats why i couldnt use them on an A3. I put a set of reps on my RS6 for a week while i had the OEM ones refurbed and they sat too far in from the arch due to the crappy flat face of the wheel. On top of that reps are often made of softer alloy than the OEM ones so buckling can be a problem, not that genuine ones are particularly bomb proof. So again, in summary. If your car has the arches to cover the rim then you should be fine. If you have low profiles on then you should be ok with a 19" wheel and it should not rub (so long as it doesnt roll like a whale in the corners).
went to look at them! pretty s
te refurb job done on them, tyres were all more worn than thought and one needed replacing due to 2 bulges in the sidewall! 200mile round trip along m25 traffic jams in a 4.2 v8! not happy! oh well!
Were the real mcoy though, but would needed a new set of tyres really and another refurb job for me to be happpy with them! so not cost effective!
