New S3 - running costs
Discussion
Hi All.
I am on the verge of ordering a new S3 but I have a nagging doubt about the costs.
I will be doing about 20-25,000 miles a year mainly on a and b roads with occaisional motorway and dual carridgway .What is the fuel consumption I could expect in normal driving on these roads.
Also what are servicing costs like and how long will tyres be likly to last.
Finally anyone think I'm making a bad choice?
Thanks

Nope, good cars and very, very quick.
Expect high 20s to the gallon, you can do 30something with a gentle right foot on a run.
Tyres should last 20k or so, fronts less if you're pressing on. Service costs are not dear, bank on £200 or so for an AVS1 and £350 ish for an AVS2. 15-18 between services is normal or up to 20 if you're just plodding around.
