I think my battery may be on the way out. What can I expect my local Audi dealer to charge? If I do it myself, what are they to buy, and what sort of job is it (I can see there's a panel easliy removed, but anything else?)?
Thanks.

Probably a half hours labour and 80 odd quid for the battery.

IIRC you've got a few bits of trim and wipers to get out of the way for access.

If it is anything like the same system as my A8 the computer has to be reprogrammed with the new battery specs by a main dealer anyway.

Have been quoted £125 for battery plus 1/2 hour labour. Found on other forums that some owners have bought a battery but when fitting it discovered that the size differs, causing problems. Does anyone know which batteries do fit ok? Tametech are you out there?

Might be a bit sneaky, but if you are a member of a popular alcoholic breakdown service and your battery runs out, they can fit a new one gratis, you only pay for the battery....

Cost of abttery is about what I paide for mine a three years ago.
Not sure which Allraod you have but on my 2003 A6 it is abit difficult due to the weight of the battery and the location of the battery (at the back of the engine bay)
