TT Alarm question - help required
Discussion
A long (and stupid/drunken) story has left me with a TT parked two floors underground at my works car park and a lost key. Doh! Only have one key...
I've now received a new key from Audi but it isn't synch'd with the alarm/immobiliser. So opening the door and getting the steering lock off is possible but I need to get it recovered from the underground carpark to audi to have the immobiliser twinned...
I checked the new key in the locks/ignition and the hazards have started flashing (obviously the alarm going off) but no audible horn. Although I've locked the car up again, the hazards have stayed on... Now the plan was to get it out of the carpark tomorrow night but to then tow it to the garage, I need headlights and/or hazards. A flat battery will put a spanner in that...
The questions I have are;
1) Should the (audible) alarm be going off? Or do I have another fault as well
2) How long will the hazards flash for (tell me it's not indefinite...)
Any advice appreciated!
Cheers
