Golf Mk IV R32 headlight...

Bu66er..
A stone or some such took out the passenger side headlight lens on the motorway yesterday - the glass had all but disappeared by the time I got home, although the HID bulb was still OK.
Whilst I adopt the position and await the dealer's call back with a price (a guess, but I'm not expecting any change from £250.00 for the assembly only
), ISTR that the front panel has to be removed to replace a headlight.
Anyone know whether this has to be done for the nearside unit or the offside unit, or both ?

sorry can't help with your question but make sure you fit some headlight protectors when you replace it - cheap to buy and may save you £££'s in future
A very good idea, and almost certainly one which I will put in place. And for those that are interested - a pie and a pint under £600.00 for 1 No. HID headlamp assembly, fitted..
