Got a quote for the above (worth circa £14K) and it was horrendous!! The cheapest that I have found is £1300 which is a bit strong when considering the following criteria...

I'm 29 with a clean license and 7 years NCB, I live in Shad Thames (SE1) and the car will be garaged (underground) and only used for pleasure purposes.

I don't pay that much on the Audi S4 cab I've got at the moment (£700), why is it so expensive?!

Because they get stolen. A lot!

I live in the arse end of no where and mine cost more to insure than my 6 series does.

When I had mine I insured it through Chris Knott. They advertise on the R32oc.com website. I seem to remember there was some discount if you're a member. They were cheapest for me by some margin.

Try Greenlight (a broker) as I also live in London and they have always got me the cheapest price by far and their customer service is excellent.

Mine's an 08 in E14, value about £17k. Underground car park, no tracker.

I pay £900 with Zurich Private clients.

Try finding posts from a member on here called 'Ash from Flux' - she personally quotes...

Flux to a PH discount and they quoted me £930 for an R32, 1x 3 points, 28 years old, not a good postcode & only 3 years NCB.

I do have another driver - SWMBO, aged 35 - on it at that price too.

Greenlight are also very good.

If the discount is anything like what was set up for the TVR's you are better NOT asking for the PH discount! Flux are a joke

Join the R32 Owners Club Forum and call Sky Insurance http://www.skyinsurance.co.uk/club_list1.html

They sorted cover for my slightly modified Octavia vRS cheaper than most places wanted for a standard car.
