Hose attachment to fuel rail

Just cleaning up the intake manifold and fuel rail. Upon looking at the feed side of the rail you can see that it is just a smooth pipe with no lip on the end to keep the rubber pipe on when under pressure. The return from the regulator has a slight raised lip as you would expect. This is how it was when i took the rubber hose off but i am sure it is not how it is supposed to be. Surely they were not manufactured like this. The question is, what am i missing. Can anyone post a pic of how it should be.

Originally it had a compression fitting with an olive inside that fitted on the outlet, much like the plumbing fittings you can get from B&Q.

I solved the problem on mine by welding some -6AN fittings to the rail.

Thanks for that. I was sure it shouldnt be like that. An olive or similar on the end should do the trick.
