Oil Switch - can anyone help
Discussion
Traced the cause of inoperative oil warning light to the wiring on the switch, or rather lack of it. All that's left is a connector and a 2" peice of white/brown wire, must have been broken during engine swap.
The other end of the wire is nowhere to be seen. I've looked long and hard so before I start pulling apart the harness can anyone take a look at where their wire goes please.
My best guess is in the cable bunch running upwards behind the drive belt.
I am sure I'll have to wait some time as the weather is good right now so I know what you'll all be doing today.
Cheers

Driver's side wheel arch, find oil filter, go back approx 3 inches (towards back of the car) and up about 6 inches. There's a small spade terminal on the side of the engine. That's the oil pressure warning light.
Edited to add, well obviously that's not the actual light, it's the sender.

Thanks Ian, actaully I've found the switch you ddsribe only the wire is severed at the switch but the other end which would run back into the loom is nowhere to be seen. I was wondering if someone could follow the wire back from the switch and tell me what part of the loom it goes to.
Thanks
David
Thanks

Can't check at the moment but I'm pretty sure mine goes straight up, behind the alternator and across the driver's side of the engine between the rocker cover and the inlet manifold. There's half a dozen cable looms running across there.
Having said that, it could go pretty much anywhere with TVRs!
