original 92 pre-cat brake balance / improvement

all standard and has alway had tendency to lock rears before fronts (they are bad for weight transfer) - without throwing money at it and not needing better than original brakes for road use I am contemplating taking advice on more efficient (softer) front pad and fitting aeroquip style front only lines to improve initial bite balance and efficiency to front.

Would any experienced techies out there consider this to be an effective improvement as upgraded callipers / discs appears to be overkill for normal driving - i dont intend timed trials down Alpine Passes

Which pads would be best for this goal (wear rate unimportant, improved initial bite and efficiency is the goal)

Oh hell, how I know that feeling and its horrible isn't it.

I decided to do something about my brakes when I came over a hill at 70 and 250 yds away was standing traffic and I ended up looking for a bail-out opportunity.
I changed my front calipers for later 500 calipers, added EBC grooved and dimpled rotors and Green Stuff pads. The difference is amazing and it truly gives you brakes the car should have had in the first place.

See if you can find a set off a 500 which somebody had upgraded.

Have done the same mod plus braided hoses. MUCH better than the original brakes.

Also, EBC are in Northampton & you can go get the bits from their fitting centre in Far Cotton.
