Copy of a kit car

I can remember a while back when some kit car company made a copy of the Griffith with various engines,not heard anything since ..what was the car called and did it go in to production..It was a bit weird building a kit car of a kit car

Except I don't think TVR ever sold their cars in kit form so it is as much a kitcar as a Ferrari F355.

Ah, fair enough; but the more recent models from the 1990s onwards were certainly not available as a kit.

I think TVR of old, sold granturas and vixens in kit form,.... Some sort of tax dodge

IIRC 1974 was the last kit car. Although tax was less the saving on labour was far more. I'd hazard a guess that some people actually like to build their own cars...

It certainly went well in a straight line. Don't know how many were built, maybe only three. In real terms it was half the price of a TVR and although it went well in a straight line the suspension was questioned and the interior was very basic. Car had some neat ideas but needed development/refinement and time ran out.
