Quick one - wheel key

Anyone know where I can source a wheel hub key?

Managed to remove the covers OK without any damage but was holding my breath with two flat-head screwdrivers trying to budge them.

Leven do an alternative version with cap heads and an allen key.

If nobody pipes up with "You can get a key from here for £10" (or something around that price) then I suppose £25 for a set of shiny ones isn't that bad.

Original keys may be available from breakers, but know of no others.

I'd'take one out and go to local fastenings shop and see if they can supply some, it'll be cheaper. Unless they are that specific that Leven have them manufactured for them, but i doubt it . . .

Leven ones are `ok` but are a little soft...if you follow.

I've had the leven ones for about 5 years after my car came without the slotted key and I got tired of using screwdrivers.
They still look good but as Sam Gamgee says you get the feeling they are a little soft and will round the flats off if you're a gorilla with the allen key.
So just don't tighten them like they are the only thing holding the wheel on.

I sold mine, went to stainless allen key bolts with a sticky/rubber washer, far easier to take off and always looked mint....

Had to buy 10 of each and i still have a new set somewhere, £5 if your interested...

I made my own key using Polymorph mouldable plastic.

Search ebay for polymorph.

Fantastic stuff, sets rock hard, but melts easily in hot water.
