Exterior Upgrades

Hi All

Just about to order the clear lense upgrade kit for my 400, I could do with replacing the headlight lenses aswell. Not sure whether to go tinted or remain clear..........what's your thoughts?
Also should I be using a specific sealant to replace the lenses or is it just a basic black silicone?

Personally i think the slightly tinted lenses look better on all but the light coloured cars,where i prefer the clear type.Your colour would look really nice with the tinted imho.The sealant used is Sikkaflex not just plain silicone. If your changing the side indicators for the later oval and clear type i'm after a pair of the pre-cat/early 500 round type, so if your considering selling them drop me a mail if you like

I tried clear lenses on my black car, and while the lights worked a little bit better, the car didn't look right. So I reverted to the smoked lenses.

The assemblies are bonded into the car with sikaflex, but silicone sealant works almost as well and makes it easier to remove them if need be.

Send me your address, if I change them you can have them, can't imagine they are worth much?
