Help.....mirror part lost

I have just had my driver's side mirror frame repaired and was all ready to replace on car when I realised that the black plastic cowl that covers the mirror base has been misplaced. Neither I nor the repairer can find it.
I have contacted Clever Trevor & Bell Hill and it would seem that these bits are difficult (impossible?) to find.
Is it possible that anybody out there could have one that is not required, maybe after a mirror upgrade.
I would be eternally grateful if there was one that I could purchase.
