Main beam lower lights

Has anybody got a spare pair! to fit Precat, Also how do you remove the cibie light unit, is it from the rear or front ?

From the front it's held in the cup by the big rubber band.

Difficult to get hold of now. Cibie don't make them and the replacements are also for an E36 (iirc) BMW 3 series.

Try your local Motor factors.

Removing the front glass surround has two posidrive screws. This will expose the 55w bulbs for removal and changing. To remove the whole unit, one needs to unscrew the three plastic butterfly screws at the back and unclip the wire socket. Dont loose the springs. Its a pain to put back and the beams will have to be re-alligned. Best to jack up the front to best see how its done. Need good lighting also.

This on my 1999 Griff. On a 1992 precat 4.0L it may be different.

They don't sound like standard lights as all the Cibies are sealed units without screws.

Hi No these are the Headlights with side light incorperated, Im looking just for the main beam units

Yes mine are sealed, with 3 spring retainers holding them into back unit
