Wiper motor gearbox

Hi All,

I have read a lot of threads on the wiper system but haven't found the info I need. Hope you can help!

The motor and other linkages seem ok on my wiper system but the problem I have got is the small nylon slider that sits within the gearbox, which is damaged.

I understand that the motor is a unique unit for the TVR but am hoping that the gearbox and the rest of the unit is pretty standard from some other car?

I don't want to buy a completely new refurbished untit complete with motor as it will be expensive and I don't need the new motor.

Thanks in advance for help from anyone who can tell me where to source the wiper gearbox unit or slider from within it!!

Thanks very much for the info.

From speaking to Adrian: it seems like the plastic guide / runner within the wiper motor gearbox doesn't normally fail and so isn't a part that is readily available as a replacement. Also, the original part in older units was made of bronze, so I will have a go at getting a replacement peice made...
