Just bought a 500 griff.Drove it down from scotland to cornwall without any issues.
Loads of nigley things to put right.First on the list is I need a new bonnet rod clip.
Anyone know what will fit?

I had the original catch snap and used the 50p one from Clevor Trevor that worked ish but did not look right, ended up getting the Steve Heath Mk2 bonnet support, ok I could have bodged something else up, but I liked the way his folds over the rad with no chance of fouling the engine, or coming off catch and making bonnet stick down, as happened.

If the clip is just a bit loose, wrap some tape round the rod, works for me...

Thanks for that.I think I will be on here quite often!
Next job I am looking at is recovering the hard roof.The previous owner gave me a new cover and said
do it yourself.I dont know if that is wise.should I get a professional to do it?

Keep us all informed about the nigely jobs. Fixed my stay with a 10mm domed posidrive screw drilled into bonnet end of rod. Stuck with araldite a hard vinyl 1"X 2" strip to location under bonnet on the heat shield. This prevents the rod end from any damage to bonnet. Some tightish rubber tube insert located around the rod, end forward of the shouilder bend, in the holed bracket, completes the job. Its a fiddly neat job but works for me.
