Fuel pump not priming?

Any 'usual' checks? Went out to go for a drive and the fuel pump isn't priming when you press the button. She turns over fine but obviously isn't going to start with no fuel pressure.

What should I be checking?

Try putting a live to the pump to make sure its working then check the two relays in the passenger footwell 'Spaghetti wiring' on top of the battery.One is for fuel pump, one is for ECU, Origional ones were alloy with a red line accross diagonally (they have a diode in them, lucky to get one now). It happened to me over last winter, used replacement relays but one failed. Managed to get two unused origional ones (1 as spare)

This happend to me once and I was advised to check the cutoff switch which was a red button on a black box behind the glove box. Its supposed to trip out in an accident?? Mine had, did this and it was sorted. Sorry if this is a red herring but thought I'd mention.

i'm 99% sure it's immobiliser related.

If I set it on the fob then wave my arm inside the hazards flash once but the alarm doesn't sound. That makes me think it's half set, half unset. Is there a way to completely reset it?

Is it as simple as disconnecting he battery or does it have it's own power source too?

After speaking to the very helpful Mr Baker it turns out it was one of the fuel pump relays. Just an FYI if anyone's reading this down the line, the replacements are now in a brown plastic package, not the ally with the red stripe of old.
