I was hoping that someone may have a set hidden away in a garage somewhere. I know they are very rare so I would be willing to pay a good price.
LOL @ Hoover...... thanks for that pearl of wisdom. Funnily enough when I was looking for a Griff to buy my first preference was a Pre-cat but I just couldn't find the right one. I should have looked harder shouldn't I and then I would have a set decent rockers.

Someone mentioned that Spend had a stash of 'em. It may have been a joke. Think it was on my build thread when Quinny posted the pic in your OP iirc after I posted my yellows and HCM his purples. Cheers JD, now you mention it I do seem to remember that conversation. I'll pop Spend an email. 
rockers..... it will just look v wrong I have a 94(M) 500 with these fitted. There's nothing in the history to say they were swapped over, and I don't think the previous owners would have done it.
Maybe these were fitted to some of the earlier 500's until they ran out? Mine's a pre-serp with a T5 box.

I think they look terrible, and feel sorry for any owner who has them, so much so, that I would take them off their hands......
Matthew, just to rub it in mate I have a gleaming set on my 4.3 Pre-Cat Griff (original fitment), they look marvelous especially after an application of WD40 to clean them up!! You can have a look the next time I am at a Mid Essex meet!!
