was at Knebworth the other week and saw a blue Griff with a twin projector beam setup but retaining the Griff
perspex cover. I have tried to source this conversion but all the places I have tried wanted to sell me the "factory" conversion or the cerbie kit.
Help.....this mod looks really upto date amd I want it !

Try Fibreon. I've got 2 unpainted pods donated by Julian from the Growl that we didn't have time to auction. If you wanted them I'd accept a sensible offer which will go to the charity - Cancer Research UK. E-mail me offline if interested. They are £200 direct from Julian and these are brand new.

How much work is required to fit these?

Just had a look at Fiberon....I can only see that they do a cerbie style conversion...the one I have seen retains the Griff perspex headlight covers.
Have tried to post a pic but u guessed it the site is down !

Have a look at this thread.

If you mean those that are on mine. Someone in the thread stated they are from Spautomotive. Not Sportmotive.

Projectors do have obvious advantages where HIDs are concerned and conversion does update look of the Griff while retaining its original character.

I personally prefer the originals. IMO of course wink

Had a look at the SP AUTOMOTIVE website but they only seem to do the open style on there....will give them a ring in the AM and see if they can help.

Think i have to agree with you Matthew. Although i do have the twin lights, they were already on when i got the car. Think i may well change at some point in the future to the 7".

I can vouch for the SP Automotive versions. Simon at Leven Technology had the conversion done to his personal Griff and a remember looking at it thinking it looked like a really good job. Often after market items can look a little tacky, this looked quality. I remember asking him about it and I am sure he said it was an SP Automotive job.

Yes be sure to think of us mere peasants with our candle headlights when you switch your new ones on.

The 7" Sportmotive conversion would be my choice with the wiring mod to make them brighter.

Must admit the 7" lamps look like they should have been a factory fit, a much classier look IMHO.
Might be time for a rethink ! especialy with the dip/main option to play with.

I'd go for the 7" conversion all the time, improves both the light output and the looks (I've always thought the 5" lights look 'lost') while keeping the car looking more or less standard

Eventually managed to upload the pic I took at Knebworth..I tried all morning to get some info from the owner but he had gone walkabout. It seems a little different in shape to the earlier pic of the red griff, or is it just my bad eyes ?
