Just got home yesterday with an engine I located out in Saitama, Japan. It's not too often you come across an LS1 out here but I was fortunate and stumbled on a 98' Camaro getting broken up. It had a very light tap in the front but it blew both airbags and cracked the windshield. That's the kiss of death for an imported car out here. I was able to hear the engine run in the car, it had 94,000 km (58,000 miles) on the clocks. Plans are for uprated heads/cam and an LS6 Intake. The standard T5 will be swapped out for a Tremec TKO 600. This isn't my first LSx swap, I've got an RX-7 (FD) with an LS7 back stateside in storage.

If all goes to plan, this should clear the EPA (emissions) hurdle for me. I'll be applying for a DOT exemption, so I can take my Griff with me when I transfer back to the states in a couple years. I'm pretty sure this will be the first LSx powered TVR running around Japan. Thanks go out to Tim @ Act for helping me in the UK with all my TVR needs!
