Any reasons why this kit for a Sierra wouldn't work? Should fit under the standard 15" wheels too.

wilwood do a 300mm kit for the griff which is excellent but its about £900.

The willwood calipers are american - the screw thread on the willwood caliper will not be the same as on the existing brake hose on the car so you will need hoses as well. I fitted braided hoses when i fitted the willwoods on mine

As an alternate, i bought the works motor sport kit, which just fits in the 15 inch rims, they supplied braided hoses as well, worked out around 500 including the hoses, and fitted perfectly, but that wilwood set also looks pretty good vfm for stock size wheels

Unimpressed with the Wilwood kit for the Chim / Griff. Extremely tight fit within the 15" wheels, tolerances are are a bit of a pissfit between bell & disc and after just a morning of a trackday had badly warped discs. These eased out a bit when cooled down but subsequent skimming have only helped a little. They would not be my recommendation.

Thats a disc problem rather than the actual calipers surely?

You must brake hard! Got several seasons out of mine, and not sure if this is a calpier issue. But I agree with the tight fit for 300mm - I have had to go to spacers. But they do stop you.

You are welcome to look at the Wolwood upgrade ?? That I have . Its a bit Mickey Mouse really . And ime not very impressed,
The pedal presure needed to stop her , is very high , and she locked up under heavy braking on the A23 recently . I only just stopped I'n time . I think the bias is too front end with this set up .

I intend to change the pads , I'n case they have glazed ( when i get time lol ) and will post on here .

neutral - locking up is probably more the tyres than brakes - unless the balance front and rear is completely wrong or if the shocks are worn. The brakes stop the wheels from turning but the amount of grip from the tyre on the road defines the how hard you can brake before it locks. I use the 300mm wilwoods on my griff for sprinting and they are progressive and good but i found with road tyres T1R's that they did lock relatively easily. I swapped to R888's and whilst I can still lock the fronts the stopping distance is much shorter. HTH Jes

I have willwoods good brake upgrade for the road, however all my mates that do serious racing etc say they tend to warp etc under heavy use like i said mine are realy good but as i never track the car they are never put to heavy use

That is my experience as well, now got std brakes on after blowing a load of cash on these. Were great at stopping when they worked.
