What a day. Not.

Had a few days off work so thought i would continue with a few jobs on the Griff after the recent body off. First off new clutch master cylinder. Got the old one off and then thought to myself it would be a good idea whilst in there to also change the brake master and servo as these were now 19yrs old and 60K on them.
Not too bad a job and eventually brake master and servo were out. Sourced a new master cylinder from local motor factors and new servo from Brakes International. Off we go all back in, pipes nipped up and just got brakes to bleed. Start bleeding and didnt seem to be getting very far. Go to check fluid in reservour and see brake fluid all over the place and dripping into footwell. Oh dear! i think, or something to that effect. Further investigation shows that it is leaking from one of the front pipes go into the new master cylinder. Decide to take everything out again to thoroughly clean up and this time, not taking any more risks decide to make new pipes up from master to bulkhead, thinking it is probably the old pipes at fault.
All cleaned up and new pipes made, off we go again. All back in, in record time; getting pretty quick at this operation now. Start the bleed and guess what, yep fluid leaking again. Eventually picked myself up off the garage floor and had a brew staring at the thing. Not at all impressed by this time. Nothing else for it but all out again. Do it with my eyes shut now.
This time had a good look at the master cylinder and looking into the offending port noticed a tiny bit of what looked like slight corosion. I can only assume this is preventing the pipe sealing. Returned it to the motor factors and got a refund. They have another one in stock but wont get it until Monday. Will thoroughly examine this one before fitting. The joys eh, and its been a great sunny day today which should have been enjoyed driving.
Anyway hopefully it will be third time lucky. I will let you know.

No i didnt use an eezibleed, Did it two handed someone on the pedal whilst i opened and shut the bleed nipple.
Will get another new master cylinder this week and hopefully it will be ok. With making new pipes up i cant see it being anything other than a faulty cylinder. The thing is, although this master cylinder was new, how long ago was it actually manufactured. If it was some time ago and just sat on a shelf forgotten about this could explain the slight rust / imperfection in the offending port.
