Hi guys

I only seem to have one speed on my blower and its full speed. I had a look and one of the wires is broken off the green thing as seen in this picture. I stole the picture from on here but its just to give you an idea.

There isn't anything left for me to solder onto so it seems a new one is in order. Is this the fan speed resister?

Yes that's the speed reg resistor, that fan looks very eighties Vauxhall to me I remember the fan assy quite well as I replaced one of these on an Astramax van not so long ago scratchchin it's certainly very similar wink see here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/vauxhall-nova-heater-blo... and just for picture reference http://www.vauxhall-car-parts.co.uk/cgi-bin/sh0012...

There should be a part number moulded into the casing similar to: 90227051N as in the second link.

I'm not saying there is a picture of it, just that there should be a number moulded into the casing of your blower unit, that you could match up to at a motor parts shop.
