Your engine will 99.9% not be crossbolted easy to tell get a torch down the side of the block and you will soon see.
Your engine will also be small journal so 4.6 crank will not fit. You can get the 4.6 large journal stuff (rangerover) machined down so it would fit. This was the original route I was going to take.
In the end I opted for a complete 4.6 from flebay for £400 with a slipped liner then bought a top hat block job done, strong 4.6.

fell onto a good deal (i hope) through a friend who has rebuilt a bunch RV8 for friends of mine
clean honed, deburred 4.6, polished crank, rods and good pistons.
new JE cam kit with springs and rebuild kit with spec suitable for a TVR (i have the cam spec) etc
new shells etc all round
ported heads, new locks etc
and a whole bunch of other RV8 goodies....
for about the price of a ebay pull out
guess I know what i am doing this winter
