BB, sorry i missed you,
yes, they are triangular ally plates that clip onto the front outriggers to prevent them from getting sandblasted by cr*p of the road. 2mins to fit and remove, still room to check and clean the rigger if required.
plastic and s/steel fittings to prevent rust/damage.
good idea for yours i would have thought.
Peninsula do them.
could post a photo is required
cheers
Have often thought about putting something here to help out, I can get hold of some rubber patches that i thought i coul dattached to the body shell just above the riggers so they hang down just bellow(as not to look like mud guards
) Would be very interested to see some pics, can water get behind your plate?? or does it sit at an angle towards the body shell??
Thanks for any info, Have you put them infront of the rear wheels too?

Sorry...I'm not guillotine...
I have however made something like the above. Material is 'Kaylan' bought from Rally Design, for making hardcore rally car mudflaps. It's pretty flexible and not the stiff plastic stuff. Anyway two suitably proportioned triangles of the stuff (one on each side obviously) secured to chassis tubes with enormous pull ties. Does the job. Not done the back arches as these don't seem to take such a hammering.
Why buy some ?? Make your own out of some small off cuts of aluminium from a local Metal Supermarket-ty sort of place. Then just attach them with some tie wraps for ease of inspection. I'm gonna make some for mine, been meaning to do it for a while. Maybe there's a business opportunity here ?? Anyone want any ??
