Interchangeable wheels
Discussion
I appreciate that this has probably all been done before. However my Griff OZ wheels look a bit worse for wear and I have seen the threads about cost to refurb and it does seem to be a reasonably big number. I have noticed in the clasifieds a selection of wheels for sale and thought I might go down this route.
What wheels can I fit on the Griff, for example can I fit Cerb 16's and do they look good. What are my options ? Any do's and dont's

There's a pop-up on this website that sell new wheels for TVR's - it's red and black and has something with TVR in the title but I can't find it now.
I was looking at it yesterday in the 'Gallery' section and I was very impressed with the Hockenhiem copies on the light blue T350 - there shouldn't be any probs with fit as they advertise as TVR replacement alloys.
Sorry for the vagueness..

TVR's price as gone up to £1599 inc VAt for a full kit with no exchange parts, but then you've got about 8 hours labour on top to carry out the conversion. Still very good value for money, considering you get four wheels and tyres, 4 discs, AP Racing / TVR 4 pot from calipers and new braided steel brake lines.
The same style of OZ spilt rims were used on some 80’s Lotus cars, I found that by doing a google search and found a lotus forum with a detailed report of re-ferbing a set of split rims. Don’t know what the site was but it was quite a good article, worth searching out. What I can confirm is that the original Griff OZ wheels fit OK on a more recent Griff. So I guess the opposite applies. I gave up trying to buy aftermarket wheels from “experts” because I couldn’t find any expert experts who understood the offset and pitch issues.

The website in question is TVR motion and they currently have some Griff/Chim wheels on offer in the PH classifieds.
That TVR conversion, does it really include wheels and tyres too? What wheels are they?
WHEELS I am also looking for wheels for my griff as i have had a tyre change recently and it was stressing to say the least?
best option i have considered are 17" tuscan look a like wheels 7" on the front and 8" on the rear the tyres are more available in this size, if any one else has a better combination i would like to hear from them as i am all up for even better handeling.

Found some wheels today spider lookalike, very very similar. These would be good for some Owners who want to keep their car original 4 stud, and keep their wheels for when they sell their griff. these were 18"rear 17" front x 7 1/2 sorting out the off set at the moment, watch this space.
Wheels again yes
as i sorted out my spectfications which were
17" x 7.5 front E25 4 stud and 18" x 8 E32 rear the sales man gave me the price without tyres,
Great i thought, oh by the way what car is it he said ?
i told him he said we do not recomend fitting these to TVR'S
What are they made out of chocolate i said
.
It seems i will have too look a bit harder
.
