Pre-cat Griff Reviews

Hi Guys,

I don't know if anyone's interested but I recently got the original 'Performance Car' and 'Fast Lane' reviews of the 4.3 Pre-cat Griff at launch in 1992. I could scan them into a pdf if anyone would like a copy. I'd quite like to get hold of any reviews from other magazines people might have so if you have something to swap please get in touch.

I'll scan them tomorrow. You might not like what they have to say though. The Fast Lane review is pretty scathing in parts. I'm not sure how many of the problems they identified were addressed before full production started.

Hi Simon, yes please. As a 4.3 Pre-Cat owner I am interested in any articles connected with the vehicle. I have various mags/articles which I will list soon. Pete

Is it you who bought the mag of e-bay at about the same time you posted. I was just about to buy it (as its my car) and it had disappeared.

I'd be interested in any pre-cat articles too. I have the Performance Car and a couple of other general model reviews - Octane did one last year I think and a few others? Will dig around and update. Happy to scan and email.

There are a few reviews in the "TVR Performance Portfolio 1986-1994" incl What Car from Oct 92 and a comparison ("Judgement Day") with Pork 968 and a Mazzer from Performance Car Aug 92. The latter features a certain 4.3 with 631 in the number (FFGs?). The same car again features in a review froim Road and Track dated Mar 93 so plenty in this book, incl some leter reviews of 500s etc. I don't want to spend all day scanning this stuff but if anyone is desperate for a copy email me with what you want and I'll try and send it to you ... well that could be a bit of work for me but for fellow Griff owners that's OK!

Hi Simon, many thanks for the articles, printed them off today and read them lunchtime. Good articles, though the performance car guy seemed to be more complimentary of the Griff, the fast lane guy came out good in the end. Will sort out what I have and post it on here. All the best, Pete
