transmission tunnel cover
Discussion
It's difficult to see from the photograph, why do you need a new one, is there something wrong with the existing one?
If it's just the split rubber gaiters that are the problem then I can tell you that they are in fact both gearlever gaiters, the one for the handbrake being trimmed and stretched to fit. I believe that the gaiters are a Ford part, p/n 6112048, however I bought my replacements from TVR Power.
As haircutmike pointed out the cover needs to be sealed with mastic. To make future removal easier I put duct tape around the tunnel first so that rather than sealing fibreglass to fibreglass I sealed fibreglass to duct tape. When I removed the cover at a later date it was quite easy because it pulled the duct tape away from the tunnel. (hope that makes sense).

thanks for your suggestions, makes perfect sense. If it's just the split rubber gaiters that are the problem then I can tell you that they are in fact both gearlever gaiters, the one for the handbrake being trimmed and stretched to fit. what i should have said in my original post, was "my 400 doesn't have one of these, but it would be useful if it did, so i need to fit one to mine....so, does anyone have one laying round?"
if i cant find one, i may resort to making one from fibreglass....but the bloody stuff makes me itch so badly!
