Sounds great, I agree with Matt you cannot have too many pops and bangs! Matt, do we anticipate some quality footage and sound from your new VidCam setup? Pete

Sounds Great and loads of Pop's and bangs From a RV8, mine only really did it when it got nice and warm.

What has been done to the Exhaust?

Cheers Scotty

The car spec is in the OP's profile - it's had a *lot* done to engine and exhaust, but I too would be interested in what was the "biggest hitting" change to improve the sound.

Apologies for the cr@p video (my brothers iphone) and thanks for the comments.

The spec in my profile shows the car is fully decatted but the box (19" x 8" IIRC) was standard and a little too quiet. After removing most of the wadding there was not much difference so the decision was made to remove the box completely and have straight thru pipes (ie not sleeved, no cherries, nada).
Whilst I knew it would sound a bit 'agricultural' on tickover it is still a great noise and completely intoxicating at anything over 2k......

oh ...... and Laugh Out 'LOUD'

Will I run out of Paracetemol or get an ASBO before the Growl...

When I had the Cerb I loved the immense power and the pops and bangs but missed the rumble of the (rover) V8.....

....if only I could combine the two... wink

...didn't like the roof and rebuild either...

Hotwire of flapper , didn't think they did flapper griffs ! Can't get pops n bangs from a hotwire as fuel automatically shuts off !

Emerald ECU has switchable maps via a switch on the dash:

For those as technically minded as me the difference is as follows:

'Up' is Loud, no pops or bangs;
'Down' is LOUD with pops and bangs.

Flames optional.

Interesting ! I wonder whether it would be worth ditching the hotwire on mine for mark adams set up , what does it entail/approx cost. If I kept all the old bits someone could always put them back to maintain original spec !

Hi Steve, both my Griffith & Chimaera were Hotwire & used to pop & bang like good uns. Mark Adams can 'dial it in' to the map as I understand it. Although my Griffith was a standard car with just straight through pipes. thumbup
